Just returned from a 4 day trip to London. Managed to get to both Hampton Court and Kew Gardens in fine weather, both places I've been planning to get to for some years. Both venues are very photographer friendly and offer some interesting viewpoints, worth visiting at different times of year. You can really feel the history in Hampton Court and the guides in each room really know their stuff. Great for kids.
