An english woman, Anna-Marie Hilling, who spent 6 years cleaning and restoring a 15 foot crucifix stored in a side-room in Ognissanti Church in Florence has helped to uncover an original work by the italian early renaissance master Giotto. Cleaning away centuries of grime and candle soot revealed magnicent colours and the crucifix now hangs proudly in the main church.
